Saturday July 5, 10 AM till 4 PM Fort Mifflin’s Independence Day celebration!  Meet Revolutionary War soldiers, civilians and a battlefield surgeon, enjoy cannon and musket demonstrations, kids drills.  Practice your “John Hancock” with a quill pen and sign a copy of the Declaration of Independence!  Create your own Family Tree of Liberty!

The French at the Fort July 12, 10 AM till 4 PM Explore the extensive connections between Fort Mifflin and French Engineers, including Pierre L’Enfant.  Could YOU build a sturdy fort on a place called Mud Island??  Special French theme food available for purchase.  Vive le Fort!

Civil War Saturday Saturday July 19, 10 AM till 4 PM Living history displays and encampment, musket drills, Battlefield “operation,” weapons demonstrations, hearth cooking, scavenger hunt, guided tours will focus on areas of the Fort that served as a Federal prison during the Civil War.

Paranormal Friday at Fort Mifflin  July 25, 7 PM till Midnight   Have you ever hunted for a ghost?? This is a great opportunity for beginning or experienced investigators.  Guided, candlelight tour, workshop highlighting recent evidence of paranormal activity and the technology used in investigations and then guided, small group investigation of 5 “hot spots!”

World War II – Explore the Eastern Front Saturday July 26, 10 AM till 4 PM Meet the armies of the Eastern Front of World War II.  Explore their uniforms, weapons and unique customs.  Scavenger hunt, Stick Grenade Toss, Guided tours.  Tactical demonstration at 3 PM viewed from atop the Fort walls.  Fort Mifflin served as a munitions depot during World War II.
