10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Grab your cutlass & spruce up your eye patch. Pirates will be landing at Fort Mifflin on August 21st. A one day extravaganza exploring the "Pirates of the Delaware." Come to this 18th century fortification to learn about Pirates and what caused the design and building of the "Fort that saved America." Activities for pirates of all ages! New this year. The Delaware Art Museum will be participating in the annual Fort Mifflin Pirate Day with a pirate-themed family friendly art activity throughout the day. See reproductions of Howard Pyle’s Pirate illustrations. Learn about some of the true Pirates of the Delaware with “The Sea Rats Atlantic” who will be providing demonstrations throughout the day. Performances by “the Sea Dogs” a Historical music troupe that will provide music, laughter and merriment as it can only be done on the Delaware or the high seas. Little ones will be allowed to dig for buried treasure and go on a scavenger hunt. All of this along with tours of the Fort, saber, musket firing and canon demonstrations. There might even be a Piratical Tactical against the Provincial Troops. General Admission Fees: Adults $6 Seniors $5 Children (6 to 12) and Veterans $3 Children 5 years and younger Free
